“Au P’tit Moissac” is a maison de maître, a manorhouse, its oldest part dating back to the 12th century. As far as we’vebeen able to trace its history, we know that in the 18th century a priest resided in this house. It wasthis man who ordered to erect the second part of the house, includingthe chapel. Bearing witness to this are the original frescos in thechapel. Unfortunately, these could not be restored… The house, fully renovated, has all luxury without alteringits old and weathered nature. The walls are built in typically whiteQuercy Blanc limestone. The combination of these walls, the authentic oakwood beamsand the old parquetry or stone floors (terre cuite) give the house itscharm and cosiness. Moreover, the thickness of these walls (80 cm – approximately3 feet) ensures a pleasant coolness in the house and its rooms in hotsummer. The ground-floor comprises kitchen and dining-room withfireplace. Here, breakfast and dinner are served when the weatherdoesn’t allow it outside. A charming stone staircase leads you to the first floor,featuring the drawing-room, where you can retire reading an excitingbook or enjoying a hot cup of coffee by the crackling open fire, after a vigorous walk throughcold winter nature. We assure you: the moment you enter our house, you’ll feel athome. Home sweet home.
